It was an awesome experience playing a show with Century’s Crime in front of so many true Supertramp fans last Saturday. They did not only know all the lyrics, some of them even could sing the part of certain instruments along 🙂 Check out our Facebook page and make sure to see us perform live next time!
This video shows my first gig of Century’s Crime, a professional Supertramp Tribute Band I recently joined.
As you can see the band brings on stage authentically the typical Supertramp sound arrangements, in fact in the original 5 piece band setting. If you like the video, please visit our Facebook page and show us you like it 🙂
I’m very happy to announce that I’m the bass provider of the just founded Supertramp Tribute Band called Century’s Crime.
Although the band was born only a few weeks ago we will play the first show already on July 3rd and a bunch of more shows are confirmed by now. Please check the growing list of dates on the frequently website and see us perform all the timeless hits like Dreamer, School, Breakfast in America, Goodbye Stranger, It’s Raining Again, The Logical Song and many more.
I’m a founding member and bass player of TRUE COLLINS, Germany’s most authentic Phil Collins and Genesis tribute band. Since 10 years I’ve been playing a lot of great shows with this fantastic band and will continue doing so. Our latest promotion video (live) gives you an impression on what our shows are like. I hope you enjoy it!
This is how I love it: in the end of June I played 9 shows within 11 days from Calw in southern Germany to Kiel in the very northern part of Germany. This meant about 2.500 km and long hours on the road but although it meant a lot of fun and great moments on stage with TRUE COLLINS, Miss Kavila and Traumbild, a new German pop act that I’m on promotion tour with currently.
The highlight for me was the True Collins show feat. The Brass-Connection at the end of this “tour” in my home area. Now I take a break from gigs until next Saturday…
Last Saturday I played a awesome concert with True Collins near my hometown. The venue is called Nahetal-Arena. It’s an amphitheater with a capacity of 1200 people and it is technically very well equipped . We played there for the first time and it was almost sold out. The atmosphere was awesome and the audience was partying from the first song to the last. You’ll find a lot of great pictures of that night here and I will upload some videos soon, too.
The Kiel Week (German: Kieler Woche) is an annual sailing event in Kiel, Germany. It is the largest sailing event in the world, and also one of the largest carnivals in Germany. It is held annually in the last complete week in June. Music lovers can enjoy about 300 concerts on 16 stages distributed over the city for free!
The stage that True Collins has been played for 6 years in a row is Maxstage (Maxbühne) right at the main station forecourt. The view from the stage to the crowd in front and the Volksfest and the carnival and harbor on the left is awesome.
I enjoyed it very much also in this year even though it had become pretty cold at night and it was raining a little bit. But that’s almost typical for that part of Germany :-).
To give you an impression on how it was here are two videos from 2014 and 2013. I hope you enjoy it!
Although True Collins has received a lot of compliments for his authentic live sound and has been called the most authentic Phil Collins and Genesis tribute band in Germany by many critics, we always knew that a horn section is the missing piece to make the band sound even more authentic. We have been looking for a while and last year, almost coincidentally, we came across The Brass Connection. This well known horn section has been working with various artist on tour and on TV shows and since last winter these guys are playing with us as an optional part of the band. Now that we played a few gigs together I can say that it is really a huge gain for the band, musically as well as personally. These great guys fit in perfectly and it’s big fun goofing around 🙂
So either you have seen True Collins before or not, you definately have to come and see True Collins feat. The Brass Connection!
p.s.: Here is a clip from the first show together…
This year I played with True Collins at Kieler Woche (Kiel Week) for the 5th time in a row. Every year we have played the same stage there: Max Bühne next to the central station. It’s a very nice feeling when you arrive at the venue after a more than 7 hours journey and the familiar crew gives you a warm welcome. Also the photographer who has taken great pictures of the show, Alexander Hahl, has been there with us again. You can check out the great photos he took here.
I’m looking forward to meet you all again there next year! 🙂
