Back from NAMM

Since a little more than a week I’m back from NAMM.
It’s been my first time and it’s been an awesome time! Meeting so many amazing musicians from all over the world and hanging with my Markbass / Markbass Germany family, meeting old friends and making new ones was fantastic!
Check out some pictures I took here.

I’m already looking forward to see you there again next year!

My first time at NAMM

I have to admit that I’m getting a bit excited now:
tomorrow morning I’m flying to Los Angeles to be at the NAMM with Markbass / Markbass Germany for the first time ever and I’m sure it’s gonna be exciting!
So if you are attending, come by and visit me at the Markbass booth hall D #5044 or send me a message if you want to hang after the show, go to a session or whatever.
Looking forward seeing you!

New Years Resolutions

Hello Guys!
Good to see you all again safe and sound in 2019!
I have to admit that I have been a bit lazy last year in terms of keeping you updated here and posting more frequently is one of my New Years resolutions.
Oh, hold on for a second: that’s already my first post in 2019, right? 😉
More exciting news will be coming soon!

Cheers,
Joerg

London Bass Guitar Show with Schack Guitars

On March 4th & 5th I was at the London Bass Guitar Show again with Schack Guitars. Although the show has grown from last year in every aspect it still has a very nice vibe and a family atmosphere.
Visitors’ interest in our instruments was enormous and we good very positiv feedback on our basses from some world class player. So for Schack Guitars it was a big success.
I personally had a great time meeting and hanging out with a lot of friends, old and new ones, and meet some of my bass heroes.
This video should give you an short impression on what was going on there.

I’m already looking forward to the London Bass Guitar Show in 2018 and it would be a pleasure meeting
you there.
Cheers,
Joerg

Wolf Codera Session Possible: awesome!

It’s been over 2 years since I last played at Wolf Codera Session Possible and so I was very happy when I got the call from Wolf Codera last December who said we wanted me again for one or two shows in early 2017. As we talked it became clear that I would not only be the bass player at that sessions but also the musical director at three gigs in three different locations.
That means I picked the musicians from my network, choose the songs from the vocalists repertoire, put together the setlist for each gig et cetera. The musicians I formed the band from without one exception had never played at a Session Possible before and so we were all pretty excited about it would work out. Actually it worked very well and the band played together as a great team so it was comfortable for the various vocalists to perform on top of it.
Each gig was a success and everybody was having a great time.
I want to say thank you to Wolf Codera who made it all possible 😉 and to

the band:
– Stephen Denbrock (drums)
– Stefan Kahne (guitar, vocals)
– Dario Karkovic (keyboards, vocals)
– Markus Zimmermann (keyboards, vocals)

the vocalists:
– Tamara Bencsik (the only singer singing at all three gigs)
– Mirjam von Eigen
– Viktoria Miller
– Tiffy Aris
– Rino Galiano
– Kieron

We all enjoyed it very much and we can’t wait to do that again.
Hope to see you all soon.

Great show with Century’s Crime

It was an awesome experience playing a show with Century’s Crime in front of so many true Supertramp fans last Saturday. They did not only know all the lyrics, some of them even could sing the part of certain instruments along 🙂 Check out our Facebook page and make sure to see us perform live next time! band-1

Playing at Stoffel Festival, Frankfurt

This summer I played at Stoffel Festival, Frankfurt for the first time and had 5 gigs with 3 different bands there.
I had a great time on stage as well as off stage and I want to thank Mika Setzer, mikroHerz and the Allsternband for that.
Special thanks to Filippo and the whole crew who did an awesome job and make me feel very comfortable. Hope to see you again next year!

I proudly present “Red Zora”, my new Schack Unique V signature bass. She is a dream to play, sounds just fantastic and beside this she looks awesome.

At the London Bass Guitar Show with Schack Guitars

On March 12 & 13 the London Bass Guitar Show took place the Olympia London, organized by the Bass Guitar Magazine.
I was there with Nico Schack from Schack Guitars as exhibitor and we had a fantastic time there!
It was great to meet so many outstanding bass players on one spot and the feedback from them on our basses was beyond expectations. I’d like to thank everyone who visited us on our booth and special thanks to everyone involved at the Bass Guitar Magazine for organizing this great event! We will be back next year!
