Recently I got a new gig bag to carry my bass around especially when I travel to gigs by train or by plane. The Mono Case M80 makes carrying my bass so comfortable that I literally take it wherever I go 🙂
It’s light, it’s protective and it’s small enough to fit into a overhead compartment. I love it!
My new Markbass stack
I’m happy about my new Markbass equipment, the Randy Jackson signature stack.
It’s a great addition to my present Markbass equipment and I’m really looking forward to use it in a live situation soon.

Sub gig with “Sheerocks”
Yesterday I played the first gig as sub with the rock coverband called “Sheerocks”. It was at the X-Mas Rock at Stadthalle Eberbach. The venue was packed with almost 700 people who celebrated Christmas and enjoyed good straight rock music from Lenny Kravitz to ACDC. I had I lot of fun with this cooking band and I’m looking forward to be the sub again in May 2012. Watch out for Sheerocks when they are gigging near you!

Got a new bass!
As I allready mentioned in the last post, I’ve just picked up my new Schack Guitars bass!
I immediately fell in love with it when I picked it up at Schacks’s open house presentation last Sunday and I really got to have it. To me it sounds, feels, plays and looks amazing! Of course it sounds different from my other Schack basses but it’s exatcly that difference I was looking for. It’s “only” a 34″ scale but the low B string is awesome. You got to check it out yoursef! 🙂

Review: 30th Anniversary of Schack Guitars – open house presentation
Nico Schack organized that open house presentation to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Schack Guitars. The company was found by his father Andy Schack and Nico took over business two years ago. It was a cool event with a lot of old and new friends of Schack Guitars. I was there to celebrate, to check out Nico’s latest creations and to play a little gig with one of my bands, Rock It. It was fun and in furthermore I fell in love with 5string that just was finished. And guess what? I picked it up the Schack’s shop today… 😉

From sunshine to thunder storm
This weekend I played 2 shows with TRUE COLLINS in northern Germany again. Open air with sunshine on Friday, heavy rain and thunder storm in a circus tent on Saturday. Would have been worse the other way around 😉
True Collins at Kieler Woche
On June 21st True Collins hit the Max-stage at Kieler Woche for the third time in a row! Like the 2 years before we really had a blast and the audience was great.
So watch out Kiel: I guess we’ll be back next year… 😉
